Progressive Tutoring Tools

“I finished my course today and I can’t believe how much I’ve gotten out of it. I’m in my second year at university studying to be a teacher and I am amazed at how much vital information has just been left out of my degree. I’m glad I did this course because it will not only give me a real edge on other teachers but it means I can really and genuinely help students with real barriers.

On a personal note, I loved learning the process of really understanding words (misunderstood words) and it’s like I can give credit to the author of whatever I’m reading by really understanding the work they took the time to write."

"I really enjoyed doing the Progressive Tutoring Tools Course because it gave me a chance to see how Study Technology is put together at a fundamental level and to see what gradient a new person would find.

The last part of the course was really interesting as it covered data and tools I had no prior experience with and gave me a very clear picture of how to correctly educate someone. It also gave me practical skills I could use in creating lessons.

I have done one year of a teaching degree at University and I got more practical and useable data from this 3-day course than I did in that whole year!"

"This course goes over the points that a person needs to know in order to become a tutor. It is laid out in a very simple, straightforward way. It was a lot simpler than I thought. I can see how it can simplify a subject for a student and take the confusion out of it.

I also got a new perspective on the ethics of education; that a student is not educated unless they can evaluate the data for themselves and use it in the real world."

"I really enjoyed this course. Learning data on the barriers to study, learning words, educational purpose and ethic is so important to successfully educating people. Doing a lesson plan is exciting! I’m ready to go out and do it! Thanks Alison and all the team. I’m proud to be part of it."
